Sid Guel, President of BAC

Sid Guel is President of BAC (Broadcast Automation Consulting) and a noted authority on Broadcast Automation.  Sid’s firm provides both broadcast automation and broadcast industry research study products and consulting services.  Sid markets his products and services to broadcast automation companies, third-party manufacturers, distributors, investors, broadcasters, and print and online magazine companies.  Sid contracts top-level researchers, writers, reviewers, copy editors, and experienced broadcast automation experts for the various services and products BAC provides.  Sid has over 27 years of broadcasting experience and over 18 years specializing in broadcast automation.

Sid has held positions with companies that specialize in high-end automation systems including Harris Corporation and Encoda Systems (Now Harris).  Sid began his career in advanced automation systems with pioneering company Alamar Electronics (Now Thomson).

Sid’s has authored several magazine articles and cover stories for prestigious broadcast industry magazines such as Broadcast Engineering, Broadcast Engineering World, TVNewsDay, and CSI (Cable & Satellite International).  Sid has presented a variety of webinars on Broadcast Automation.  Sid was recently honored with a speaking engagement at the BEC (Broadcast Engineering Conference) during the NAB2008 convention in Las Vegas.  For years, Sid has judged many broadcast automation awards contests both nationally and internationally.  Sid has teamed up with the world’s largest broadcast industry publishers such Focal Press and for the publishing of Broadcast Automation state-of-the-industry reports and books.
