Marcy Timpone, Senior Vice President of Operations and Finance, Granite Broadcasting

Marcy, a ten-year veteran of the broadcasting industry, is Granite Broadcasting’s Senior Vice President of Operations and Finance. In this role, Marcy focuses on creating value, streamlining procedures and increasing productivity for all of Granite’s stations. Marcy is a proven expert at uncovering and implementing efficiencies when operating multiple broadcast properties in one market or across markets. Prior to this position, Marcy enjoyed a meteoric rise within the Granite organization. She joined the Granite corporate team in April 2003, where she served as Vice President of Operational Finance, responsible for working with operational management to identify and implement best practices across the company and to ensure stations adhere to strategic plans and budgets. Before joining the corporate team, Marcy started her career at Granite in April 2000, serving as the VP of Finance for KNTV and KBWB during the merger and the subsequent rebuild of KBWB as a stand-alone station. Prior to that, she served as the regional business director for Sinclair Broadcasting, overseeing financial and budgeting operations for Sinclair’s nine stations and also served as business manager for two additional stations. Before launching her broadcasting career, she served as a senior auditor with Ernst & Young, from 1996 to 1998, with a focus on broadcast clients.

She holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas, San Antonio where she graduated in 1997.
