Elliott K. Klein is a principal of FM Idaho Company and Locally Owned Radio, L.L.C. Elliott brings 31 years of broadcast station ownership and management experience to these two Idaho broadcasting companies. The two companies own a total of eleven broadcast properties in the State of Idaho.
He as held responsible management, ownership and engineering positions in the broadcast industry since 1967. Elliott brings a great deal of engineering talent to the company as well and has designed state of the art digital transmission and studio facilities for all the FM Idaho Company and Locally Owned Radio Station Properties in the Boise and Twin Falls/Sun Valley markets. His qualifications to practice the art and science of broadcast engineering are also a matter of record before the Federal Communications Commission.
He has held the position of Director of Engineering for Buck Owens Broadcasting Group and has consulted for Belo Television, Bonneville International, NRC Broadcasting, Merv Griffin Stations Group, Scripps-Howard Broadcasting, ABC-Disney, Magic Broadcasting Los Angeles, NPR Station KJZZ/KBAQ Phoenix and many other lesser known broadcasters. Elliott was also the creative genius for the engineering design for the first satellite delivered radio programming network, then in 1980 known as TranStar, now known as Westwood One. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and is a member of the I.E.E.E. and an Associate Member of the Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers (A.F.C.C.E.)
Elliott has been the Managing Partner of FM Idaho Company, L.L.C., (dba Impact Radio Group) since July 2008. Since that time he has completely reworked the company staff and its products which now has the #1 18-34 adults station (WILD 101 FM), the #1 18-49 adults station and the #1 25-54 adults station (96.1 BOB-FM) in the Spring 2009 ARB Ratings. Additionally, Impact owns and operates 100.7 LA PODEROSA the #1 Regional Mexican Station in the State of Idaho. Elliott says the Impact Radio Group now has the best staff of broadcast professionals in the country. “Our companies are focused on people and product first.”
